WRSU boasts of its own promotions department which mainly coordinates station events, imaging, advertising, and ticket giveaways on the air. Furthermore, the Promotions department is responsible for several of the events hosted by WRSU our most recent and successful venture being the 60th Alumni Dinner headed by our Promotions director, Lorraine Seid.  Being part of the Promotions Department will give you a first-hand opportunity to experience the public relations aspect as well as the marketing and a taste of the world of advertising! WRSU's Production Department is on charge of all of the on-air pre-recorded sound clips that are broadcast on the air.  If you are interested in learning about producing PSAs, underwriting, or station imaging--this department is for you!    All of the on-air pre-recorded clips, such as PSAs, underwriting, and station imaging is done by this department.  Furthermore, the Production Department can give you a taste for audio-editing and voiceovers. The Production Department fosters a great learning environment so new-comers are encouraged to join and work alongside our seasoned students on technical aspects of radio.

WRSU boasts the most enthusiastic sports analysts at Rutgers University. Our sports staff covers multiple Scarlet Knights teams in-depth. The staff members have the opportunity to go on the road with teams in order to cover certain games as well. Self explanatory! Even in today’s day and age, every generation still looks to radio stations to discover new music.  Here at WRSU, we play a wide range of music and have an assortment of shows that encompass several different styles of music.  This department also takes charge of all the play-lists and the record library in the station.  Furthermore, if you’re interested in being a DJ for the station, the Music Department is for you! All music DJs fall under this heading. Music Meeting Time: Sundays 5 PM

Our News Department is very involved and up-to-date with the daily news every night at 10:00 PM. All aspiring journalists can get a head start by working on-air and behind-the-scenes with WRSU's news team.  You can wet your feet by covering local and national news with a distinct focus on news around Rutgers

The management of WRSU's roughly 100 on-air staff members is a busy job that comes with a lot of responsibility. People who are interested in working with on-air staff, including show scheduling and related issues should contact the Program Director. Keeping in touch with the community we serve is the premier public relations job at WRSU. Focus lies mainly on community events by working with Promotions, and this department serves as the WRSU spokesperson to the media. For more information contact the Community Affairs manager.
